Join us in welcoming Trey Hyberger, the assistant vice president of Business Intelligence & Data Analytics with UofL Health – IT. Trey joined our team in May 2022 and is excited to get to know the people that make UofL Health so special.
In his role, Trey is responsible for developing data strategies and aligning with the institutional priorities in collaboration with key health care executives. He focuses on increasing analytical literacy and driving adoption and integration efforts across the organization. Trey also plays a part in protecting data collected throughout our organization and designs data storage systems that keep information secure and prepared for analysis.
“My team provides data analysis as a valuable asset to help leaders discover insights and make better, data-driven decisions to advance UofL Health,” explained Trey. “I also liaison between the enterprise and IT to leverage data to transform and develop a competitive advantage.”
Trey is excited to partake in the growth of UofL Health and see the changes in our organization and community.
“I enjoy the challenges that come from our formation, where aligning people, processes and technologies can come together to deliver care for the community more effectively and efficiently,” said Trey. “Being a part of UofL Health during this time of growth is exciting and I look forward to making a positive impact where I can.”
Trey hopes to lead transformational changes needed to leverage the data analytics infrastructure, architects, developers and analysts as a strategic asset. He is confident in his team’s ability to provide clinical, financial, operational and strategic support through data-driven insights that lead to meaningful and measurable results.
One thing you should know about Trey is he bleeds red, University of Louisville Cardinals red, to be exact. He considers himself a die-hard UofL fan and lives by the phrase, “Go Cards!” He was born and raised in Louisville and went on to complete his bachelor’s degree in computer information systems and master of business administration at UofL.
As we emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic, he is most looking forward to greater peace of mind and spending time with his at-risk loved ones.
Trey’s perfect night involves catching up on his favorite television shows, The Man Who Fell to Earth or Alone, and a delicious pizza. If he could instantly pick up any skill, he’d love to learn how to play the guitar.
If you see Trey around, be sure to welcome him to UofL Health and introduce yourself. He would love to get to know you!
