Erin Hinkle, RN, BSN, has been with UofL Health – Heart Hospital for a year and a half. While with Heart Hospital, Erin has worked on the VAD and heart transplant floor (5 Towers) and has been a registered nurse, relief charge nurse and preceptor.
Erin loves being a part of UofL Health. Her favorite thing about UofL Health is the opportunities she is afforded to grow as a nurse. Erin hopes to increase her professional knowledge and training while expanding her education.
What inspires Erin to continue to learn every day is that she wants to exceed what she did the day before.
“I’m always looking to get better every day and be the best nurse I can be,” Erin said.
One quote that motivates Erin to keep pushing even when times are tough is, “Do what you can, with what you have, where you are,” spoken by Theodore Roosevelt.
Erin grew up in Lewisport, Kentucky, and attended Hancock County High School. She went on to study biology at Lindsey Wilson College and then attended Northern Kentucky University where she received her bachelor of science in nursing.
Are you an avid reader? Make sure to connect with Erin! She loves to read and is a fan of Meghan Quinn’s novels.
If you’ve got a great spaghetti recipe, be sure to share it with Erin. She loves a nice bowl of spaghetti any time of the year but would prefer a plate of biscuits and gravy if you’re bringing her something for breakfast.
If you see Erin at the Heart Hospital, make sure to say “hello” and ask her thoughts on the latest season of “Yellowstone.” She would love to get to know you!
