Amy Howlett, RN, has worked with UofL Health for 19 years. For much of that time, Amy worked as a nurse in the cath lab of UofL Health – Jewish Hospital.
Recently, Amy moved out of the nursing role and into a UofL Health – Quality position. She currently serves as a performance improvement and peer review coordinator in the Quality department at Jewish Hospital. In this role, Amy is responsible for data analysis and abstraction for various registries and accreditation. She also assists with performance improvement projects.
Amy’s favorite thing about working for UofL Health is the people she works with. Her overall goal for the organization is to improve public perception and overall patient satisfaction.
Amy lives out the organization’s mission almost every day.
“I work with physicians and staff to improve documentation to reflect the high level of care provided to our patients,” Amy explained.
Her job affects many pieces of the organization by improving the quality and safety of patient care.
Amy was born and raised here in Louisville and enjoys attending University of Louisville football and basketball games, (Go Cards!). Needless to say, Amy was excited when UofL Health announced its partnership with the university to be UofL Athletics’ provider of choice.
Her go-to breakfast meal is waffles, but if she could eat anything for the rest of her life it would be Mexican food.
If Amy isn’t listening to true crime podcasts, she’s watching “Big Brother” on TV.
If you see Amy out and about, make sure to say “hello” and ask about her favorite true crime story or her favorite “Big Brother” season. She would love to get to know you!
