Stephanie Rogers has worked as a physician recruiter at UofL Health – UofL Physicians for a little over three years. Stephanie assists her team with physician and provider recruitment for UofL Physicians. Her service areas of recruitment are cardiology, family medicine, urology and other various areas in surgery.
Stephanie finds joy in helping others figure out their place at UofL Health, offering career guidance to candidates. UofL Health’s partnership with University of Louisville gives Stephanie unique access to the residents and fellows researching and studying at the university.
“Our recruitment team can be the first point of contact with our candidates,” Stephanie explained. “It’s my job to assist them in their career search journey – ultimately helping them learn more about UofL Health and why they should become part of the Power of U.”
Her favorite recruitment opportunity is when she can recruit couples. She has been able to work with several couples in the last few years and enjoys helping them find their niche within an organization. The best part is – if their partner or spouse does not fall within her service lines, she can partner with one of her fellow recruiters.
Stephanie appreciates how serving the underserved is one of UofL Health’s goals. She sees how UofL Health is finding solutions to patient care gaps which grows the organization.
“I have the luxury of working with a great recruitment team,” Stephanie said. “Each member cares a great deal about the job they do to make our organization the best in the area and one that is truly patient-centered. Together, I feel like we accomplish our mission.”
If you were to ask Stephanie about her goals for UofL Health she would simply ask our organization to continue to provide opportunities within the community for health care providers. We need those who have a passion for providing quality patient care and a true vested interest in our organization and patient community.
Stephanie was born in Portsmouth, Va., at the naval hospital due to her father being in the navy, but was raised in Floyd Knobs, Ind. She attended Providence High School and Ball State University.
She has three sons, two of whom are fraternal twins and one who is only 19 months apart from his brothers.
Do you know a great spot for live music? Be sure to tell Stephanie! She and her husband love to listen to live music acts or attend music festivals.
When Stephanie isn’t out recruiting, you can find her watching the latest “Ted Lasso” episode or a true crime show.
If Stephanie could learn any skill instantly, it would be mind-reading. She jokingly said it would be helpful in her recruitment efforts.
If you see Stephanie, be sure to say “Hello,” and ask her what music festivals are worth attending and what acts to see. If you know a provider who would be a great fit for UofL Health, make sure to reach out to the provider recruitment team at ProviderRecruitment@UofLHealth.org.
