Are you a good cook? We know someone who is looking to learn! Meet Marriah Foss, MSHA.
Marriah has been with UofL Health for the last three and a half years. She currently serves as a practice manager where she is responsible for the day-to-day operations at physician offices, addressing patient issues and concerns, making sure they are adequately staffed and making sure providers have what they need to give the best care to their patients.
When asked what her favorite thing about working for UofL Health is, Marriah said, “I feel like there are so many opportunities within our organization. There are always opportunities to advance in your career and I love that.”
Marriah’s role is essential in ensuring her practice is running efficiently and ensuring patients are being treated with care and in a timely manner. While she does not have a direct interaction with patients, she is responsible for making sure providers have what they need to provide the best care.
“I recognize that we are a growing health care organization, so I would love UofL Health to continue to grow as an organization and I hope to continue to grow within this role,” Marriah explained.
When it comes to UofL Health’s mission, Marriah ensures patient-centered care is provided at her practice each and every day.
Marriah is from Springboro, Pennsylvania, where she attended Conneaut Valley High School. She graduated from University of Louisville last year with a master’s degree in health administration.
One fun fact about Marriah is that she loves getting a good deal. She once purchased a T-shirt at Old Navy for one cent!
“I don’t remember the T-shirt, but for that price I couldn’t pass it up,” Marriah said.
Some of Marriah’s favorite hobbies include listening to “The Script” and watching reality TV or true crime shows. She is currently watching “90 Day Fiancé” and “Web of Lies.”
Marriah’s favorite breakfast meal is biscuits and gravy with bacon, but if she could eat any meal for the rest of her life, it would be chicken fried rice.
When asked what inspiration she lives by daily, Marriah said, “Do your best every day and perform to the best of your ability. Anytime you make a mistake, use that as an opportunity to improve upon.”
If you see Marriah out and about be sure to say “hello” and ask her about her latest deal or her favorite engaged couple. She would love to get to know you!
