Kim Wilson, BSN, RN, CCRN, NE-BC, is the director of critical care services and dialysis department at UofL Health – UofL Hospital.
During her 20 years with UofL Health, helping patients and their families during some of the most difficult times in their lives and having co-workers who have become family has kept her centered.
“My greatest impact is the team I work with every day,” Kim said. “I’m blessed to work with an incredible team of nurse leaders and nursing staff who come to work every day and give it their all during these unprecedented times.”
Kim has big goals for herself and our organization. According to her, our great team will no doubt help UofL Health become the premier health care system in the region. Making a difference in the lives of patients and families is an attainable goal and this belief radiates in Kim’s work.
Kim was born on an Army base in Monterey, Cl. You may wonder how she ended up in Louisville, but travel is nothing new for her. Being a flight attendant would be a dream retirement job for her as she loves being in airports and enjoys flights to fun destinations.
A great piece of wisdom she lives by is, “It’s not what you say, it’s how you say it.”
If you see Kim, be sure to say “Hello!” Know how to play the piano? Give her some beginner’s advice. If she could, she would instantly obtain pianist skills to share.
