Robert Blair, BSN, RN, PCCN, MEDSURG-BC, is a clinical nurse manager on 5 South which is a Surgical Oncology unit at UofL Health – UofL Hospital. He has been with UofL Health for three years.
Robert said his favorite things about the UofL Health system are the commitment to serving anyone and everyone, and the amount of positive growth that is occurring all at once.
Robert has been a nurse for nearly 14 years. He started his career in health care as a medical transporter in 2008 at UofL Hospital, then as an ICU tech and a nurse on 5 West before going on to other facilities. Robert’s goals include ensuring patients experience high quality, evidence-based care, while simultaneously role modeling and teaching others how to provide compassionate and empathetic health care.
Robert attended Trinity High School and volunteers regularly at the Family Community Clinic in the Butchertown neighborhood of Louisville. He is currently reading “Rogue Protocol” by Martha Wells. Robert’s hobbies and interests include swimming, volleyball, native and regionally important plants, and transforming his home landscapes into living ecosystems.
