Are you good at woodworking? We know someone who is looking to learn! Meet Janelle Martin, R.T. (R)(CT). Janelle has worked for UofL Health for 20 years as a CT technologist in the Radiology department at UofL Health – Medical Center East. Her role is to provide CT scans and X-rays to patients in the Emergency Department and who utilize outpatient services.
One of Janelle’s favorite parts of UofL Health are the incredible providers and team members working together to take care of our patients. She finds her work extremely rewarding.
Janelle’s role provides quality patient care to those who need imaging services. By completing CT and X-rays, providers can diagnose illnesses and diseases to provide proper treatment to the patient.
“I live out our mission in my role by treating patients with compassion and respect,” Janelle explained. “I provide quality patient care and I am sympathetic to their needs.”
Janelle is from Taylorsville, Kentucky, and graduated from the University of Louisville.
Some of her favorite hobbies include reading, hiking and sewing. She also enjoys reading and is currently working through “Heirs of the Motherland” by Judith Pella.
If Janelle must choose one meal to eat for the rest of her life, she would choose grain bowls. According to Janelle, they are healthy, filling, veggie and grain goodness!
If Janelle could learn any skill, it would be woodworking.
“I would love to be able to cut, build and create amazing pieces for my home with real wood,” Janelle said. “It would be better quality pieces, and I would be able to say I made it. That would be amazing.”
If you see Janelle at Medical Center East, be sure to say “hello” and ask her about the best places to hike in Kentucky. She would love to get to know you!
