Jaime Sloan, CPA, has been with UofL Health since February 2020. As an Internal Audit manager with UofL Health – Compliance, Risk & Audit Services, Jaime reviews UofL Health’s internal controls and processes to ensure that risks are mitigated and performs internal audits such as physician contracting, release of information, opioid prescriptions, payroll and more.
Jaime started this position following her 13 years at KentuckyOne Health in a similar audit role. She is proud of all that has been done to integrate KentuckyOne Health into UofL Health and how UofL Health has supported the community through the coronavirus pandemic and beyond.
Each day, she aims to help UofL Health operate more efficiently, effectively and economically. She is also striving to help UofL Health be compliant with all rules, regulations and requirements.
“It is the best compliment to an internal auditor when someone calls with a risk or concern and asks for my help,” Jaime said.
Jaime strives to live out UofL Health’s mission in her role by making the organization stronger financially and operationally. These improvements, in the end, will benefit all the patients our organization serves and makes her job very rewarding.
Her goal for UofL Health is for this organization to continue to grow and strengthen our community.
One thing you might not know about Jaime is that she is from Frederick, Md., and attended University of Kentucky (UK) to study accounting and finance.
She was also a part of the varsity rifle shooting team at UK and once held a record at the U.S. Olympic Training Center for shooting a .22 rifle in the kneeling position.
Jaime is also a wife and a mother to two daughters. She and her husband spend much of their time cheering on their daughters at local and national field hockey competitions. Their family would not be complete without their 3-year-old English cocker spaniel named Bailey Grace.
“Bailey Grace loves to chase balls and squirrels,” Jaime explained. “She has a big personality!”
If Jaime had to choose one meal to eat for the rest of her life, it would be steak and any type of potato. She would also add a slice of chocolate pie from Homemade Ice Cream and Pie Kitchen for dessert.
If you see Jaime around, be sure to say “hello” and ask her for her favorite photo of her kids or Bailey Grace, or her favorite things to do in Hilton Head Island, S.C.
