Ta’Neka Lindsay, DNP, APRN, WH/AGPCNP, BC, works as a women’s health and adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner and has been with UofL Health for one year. In her role she works with patients to develop, achieve and surpass their hea
lth goals. She strives to provide personalized, high-quality, patient-centered care.
Ta’Neka said her favorite thing about UofL Health is the patients.
“I love my patients!” she said. “At ULH Primary Care Outer Loop I get the opportunity to meet patients from all around the world. The diversity of my patient population helps me appreciate the richness of our local community. This diversity also develops me as a provider.”
Also, Ta’Neka appreciates the opportunity to work with an amazing team of people.
“I think of my colleagues as a family that works together to get the best outcomes for our patients,” she said.
Ta’Neka’s goal is to be a leader and change agent in the health care environment.
“I honestly strive to treat every patient like they are a family member,” she said. “I want each patient I care for to feel sincerity in the care I provide. I will do my part to live out the mission of transforming the health of our community through compassionate, innovative, patient-centered care.”
Ta’Neka’s hometown is Louisville, where she attended Butler Traditional High School. She got her undergraduate degree at University of Louisville, her master’s at Vanderbilt University and her doctorate at University of Kentucky. Ta’Neka is a part of many community organizations, including KYANNA Black Nurses Association, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. and Kentucky Nurses Association.
Ta’Neka’s favorite food is pizza and her favorite breakfast food is bacon. Her hobbies include traveling and trying new restaurants with her family.
Ta’Neka is currently reading the Old Testament of the Bible. Her favorite inspirational quote from the Bible is Jeremiah 29:11: “’For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’”
