Getting to Know LaTasha Evans
Latasha Evans has been with UofL Health for almost 20 years! She is a release of information (ROI) educator. In her role, she trains new hires on all aspects of ROI and keeps the ROI team up to date on current regulations and laws.
“My role has a great impact on UofL Health,” Latasha said. “In my role, I educate teams on regulations and laws. My focus is to ensure we remain in compliance by teaching about HIPAA, designated record sets and OCR’s patient right to access. The education I provide regarding when we may release medical records and keeping with HIPAA’s minimum necessary protects and impacts UofL Health.”
Latasha said her favorite things about UofL Health are all the great people she has met and worked with over the years and seeing everyone work hard to make sure the organization is built on excellence. Her goal is for UofL Health to be the provider of choice, continuing to grow and impact all the communities we serve.

Latasha is currently watching “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Bridgerton” on Netflix. She loves going anywhere with a beach and could eat burgers every day for the rest of her life.
