Eric Lee, BSN, RN, has been an Employee Health lead nurse at UofL Health – UofL Hospital since July 17, 2017. In his role, he manages several surveillance programs to ensure compliance with local, state, federal and Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations. Some of these programs include the annual flu vaccination program, annual tuberculosis requirements, the respiratory fit test program, the decontamination program and the hazardous drug handling program.
Eric’s favorite things about UofL Health are the ability to work as a team to accomplish the mission of providing excellent patient care and the recognition of team members who work behind the scenes to complete the mission.
“We are here for the employees when they need to update vaccines, when they have injuries,” he said. “We work with them and worker’s comp to ensure they are taken care of and to return to work healthy.”
Eric is from Louisville, where he attended Central High School. For college, he attended Ivy Tech Community College in Sellersburg, Ind. He is currently reading “Life Lessons from Acts” by Max Lucado and watching the shows “Arrow,” “The Blacklist” and “The Chosen.”
Eric enjoys riding motorcycles, and he teaches Sunday school and Bible study at church. His favorite vacation spot is Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
Eric’s go-to mantra is, “Always be willing to extend a little because you never know when you will need some.”
