Congratulations to Taylor Zuberer, ATC, who was recognized by the Kentucky Athletic Trainers Society (KATS) as High School Athletic Trainer of the Year! Zuberer was one of three UofL Health employees recognized at the KATS annual statewide symposium, held at Bellarmine University in Louisville.
“Taylor is very deserving of this honor,” said Jon Holland, PT, manager of sports medicine and community based rehab for UofL Health – Frazier Rehabilitation Institute. “Taylor always puts her athletes first. She is there for them when an injury occurs and walks with them through doctors’ visits, rehab and return to play. She is a huge part of our sports medicine program’s success.”
Zuberer serves as the certified athletic trainer for Manual High School and Portland Christian School. The award was presented by Bianca Grimshaw, ATC, athletic trainer coordinator for UofL Health, who serves on the KATS executive council as chair of public relations and marketing.
Rebecca Park, ATC, and Abbie Howell, ATC, were also recognized at the KATS symposium. Park was honored for her contributions to recent ATC practice act legislation and Howell was presented with a scholarship award. Both Park and Howell work as clinical trainers with CMG Orthopedics and Sports Medicine providers.
