Consolidated outpatient COVID-19 testing for UofL Physicians patients is now available downtown at the former Jewish Hospital SKYCARE lot located at the corner of Brook and Liberty streets. This is NOT a testing facility for the general public.
This site has been established to improve access to testing for our patients, and to centralize the process while reducing PPE and clinic burden.
The following guidelines should be considered by providers in determining patients that should be scheduled for testing at the outpatient site:
- If patients are overall healthy with mild symptoms, please advise to stay home and self-quarantine per the CDC guidelines.
- If patients are high-risk (COPD, diabetes, heart disease) with symptoms (fever, new cough, new shortness of breath, chills, fatigue) OR high risk with direct contact with a COVID-19 positive patient, the provider may call the Testing Triage Line to schedule an appointment at the consolidated testing site.
- The UofL Physicians COVID-19 Testing Triage Line is for clinical offices only. Please call the triage line with the patient available to arrange an appointment and inform the patient of their date and time for testing.
- If a patient is having worsening symptoms, is unable to care for his/her symptoms at home, or there are concerns regarding the disease process, providers may schedule a patient visit via telehealth or, if it is an emergency, the patient should go the Emergency Department or call 911.
A limited number of tests are available per day. If providers reach the access center and are unable to schedule a time for testing, please ask the patient to quarantine and call back the next day. We are looking to expand this process as the volume increases.
Please note that testing at the consolidated outpatient site is currently NOT available on the weekend. Please call the COVID-19 Testing Triage Line (for clinical offices only) on Monday to schedule the patient for an appointment. This service is available for only UofL Physicians patients.
