UofL Health – Urgent Care Plus expands with new locations

Telehealth visits are available along with COVID-19 vaccines/testing

UofL Health – Urgent Care Plus locations continue to expand. On Monday, June 28, the UofL Physicians – Primary Care location at 4423 Bardstown Road in Buechel will expand to become an Urgent Care Plus offering both primary care and urgent care in one convenient location. Providers at this location include:

• Elizabeth Arnold, PA-C/Urgent Care
• Alycia Green, APRN/Urgent Care
• Samantha Slider, PA-C/Urgent Care
• Jordan Edelen, PA-C/Urgent Care

On Tuesday, July 6, the Urgent Care Plus at 2746 Virginia Avenue in the Parkland neighborhood will open offering both primary care and urgent care to help address the shortage of primary care in west Louisville. Providers at this location include:

• Tamea Evans, M.D./Primary Care
• John Reisert, M.D./Urgent Care
• Izegbea Cannon, APRN/Urgent Care

Dr. Evans, who is leading the medical team at the new location said, “Taking care of patients is my profession, but breaking down barriers to improve health equity is my passion. The location and hours of this Urgent Care Plus practice are essential to making quality care easy to access.”

All Urgent Care Plus locations are open seven days a week. Hours of operation are 8 a.m.-8 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday. Walk-ins are welcome. Appointments – including telehealth appointments – are available through MyChart or by going to UofLHealth.org/Urgent-Care/.

In addition to providing care for patients with minor injuries and illnesses, all Urgent Care Plus facilities provide work injury treatment including employment and Department of Transportation (DOT) physicals. Each also provides COVID-19 vaccines and testing on a walk-in basis. COVID-19 vaccines are free to individuals 12 and over.
