This time of pandemic is creating a reality that many of have not experienced in our lifetime. Our daily routines now consist of job loss, social distancing and fear of the unknown. Due to these circumstances, many people are experiencing increased levels of stress, anxiety and depression.
Fortunately, we have a wealth of expertise within UofL Health to provide a wide variety of psychiatric and behavioral health services to our patients and community.
UofL Physicians – Psychiatry has availability to accept referrals from CMG and AMG patients who are experiencing mental health issues during this crisis. CMG practices can fax referrals to 502-588-9539. AMG practices can task the referral to Psychiatry Referrals in Allscripts. Please include the reason for referral and psychiatric diagnosis, if applicable.
We can see all adult patients for general psychiatry issues. We have specialty programs in geriatric psychiatry, mood disorders, and addictions. We are providing new patient appointments through telehealth so patients will need to have either a smart phone, an ipad, or a computer with a camera and speakers. We have availability for evaluations by a psychiatrist and for therapy by licensed clinical social workers.

Inpatient Hospitalization – Acute crisis stabilization for Substance Use and Psychiatric Disorders
Adult Outpatient – Substance Use and Psychiatric Disorder treatment in a group therapy setting with individual therapy/medication evaluation as needed.
- Partial hospitalization – Monday – Friday 9 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. (telehealth available)
- Intensive outpatient program – Monday – Friday 9 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (telehealth available)
Adolescent Partial Hospitalization – Monday – Friday 9 a.m. – 1:45 p.m.
Patients can receive a no-charge crisis assessment 24/7 in Peace’s Assessment and Referral Center at:
