Two of our UofL Health nursing professional development practitioners won awards this year from the Association for Nursing Professional Development. They will receive these awards during the association’s convention this coming March in San Antonio, Texas.
The winners are Katie Robinson, MSN, RN, NPD-BC, OCN, and Kelly Russell, MSN, RN, NPD-BC, CMSRN.
Katie received the Champion for Scientific Inquiry Award. This award recognizes the nursing professional development practitioners who promotes the generation and dissemination of new knowledge and the use of evidence to advance nursing professional development practice, guide clinical practice and improve patient care.
Kelly received the Belinda E. Puetz Award for Excellence. This award is the association’s highest honor. Recipients of the award encompass excellence in nursing professional development, and this excellence is shown through the recipient’s creativity, productivity, exemplary leadership quality and efficiency.
“Winning this award reflects the love I have for doing something that I am truly proud of. I work with the best and they always push me to be my best,” Kelly said.
Congratulations, Katie and Kelly!
