Amber Grady, BSN, RN, PCCN, is the latest winner of the DAISY Award at UofL Health – Jewish Hospital.
Amber is a night shift nurse on 7 Towers. In her nomination by a fellow team member, Amber was praised for her willingness to lend a hand and for her keen attention to patients on her unit.
“I could not have asked for anyone better to start my nursing career off with,” her nominator said. “She is a patient advocate and an advocate for her fellow employees.”
Below is her full nomination:
Amber is always willing to jump in and help, which is so beneficial during the night shift. She is very knowledgeable and is wonderful about monitoring all the patients on the unit. She is a great charge nurse. I could not have asked for anyone better to start off my nursing career with. She is a patient advocate and an advocate for her fellow employees. Amber uses critical thinking every day she is on the unit. I know that I can always go to her for advice and when there is a critical situation with a patient. She goes above and beyond every day and deserves a DAISY Award.
Congratulations, Amber! Thank you for letting the Power of U shine through to better our team and give our patients excellent care.
