In honor of the more than 300 Kentuckians we have lost to COVID-19, UofL Health will light up several of its facilities green, the color of compassion, empathy and renewal.
“This is a small gesture of support for those families that have suffered the most,” said Steve Amsler, senior vice president of operations for UofL Health. “Our 12,000 team members are on the front line of fighting this pandemic. And while we look forward to celebrating those we help return to good health, we also want to honor those that we have lost.”
The following facilities are now displaying green lights:
- Brown Cancer Center
- Mary & Elizabeth Hospital
- Peace Hospital
- Rudd Heart and Lung Center
- Shelbyville Hospital
Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear has asked business and individuals to display green in support of Kentuckians lost to COVID-19 and to demonstrate we are all in this together.
