Stroke in the Young Zoom Event
October 29 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
In honor of World Stroke Day, we are hosting a live Zoom event starting at 1 p.m. Oct. 29.
Stroke can happen to anyone. What you need to know about stroke and your risk for stroke.
Many people think, “It won’t happen to me. I’m too young for a stroke.” Stroke frequently impacts older adults, those over the age of 65 years, and science shows that the risk for stroke increases as you age. However, stroke is impacting more young people every day. One in four people, worldwide, will have a stroke. Recognizing the risk for stroke, taking actions to decrease stroke risks, and understanding that every moment counts when it comes to recognizing stroke symptoms can save your life.
After this event, you will not only know more about stroke, you will feel empowered to share this information with others so they will also be stroke-smart.
