Health Literacy: Your Role as a Health Care Professional
October 21 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Poor health literacy affects millions of Americans each year. Negative health outcomes can be avoided by learning how you as a health care provider can educate and empower your patients with low health literacy.
Join clinical librarian Dani LaPreze from the Kornhauser Health Science Library from noon–1 p.m. Oct. 21 via Zoom where she will discuss:
- How health care providers can help their patients better understand medical information
- How providers can improve communication through cultural awareness and competence.
- Resources available for both providers and patients
Attendance is free, but you must register in order to attend. Register here.
