Go Red for Women
Red looks good on you! Not just because it’s one of UofL Health’s signature colors, but also because of what red represents.
When you wear red on Feb. 5, you and millions of others nationwide are raising awareness for cardiovascular disease in women.
The heart of the matter is cardiovascular disease is the number one killer of women, particularly our younger, diverse ladies. It claims more lives each year than all forms of cancer combined.
We encourage you to show your support by participating in National Wear Red Day on Feb. 5. If you don’t have anything red to wear, we’ve got an easy solution. You can purchase some UofL Health gear just in time for the big day by clicking here.
If you’re working from home, decorate your office in reds or have a red background for your virtual meetings.
You can show off how you go red for women by snapping a photo of yourself or your team members and tagging us on social media using @UofLHealth or #PowerofU on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
You can also send your photos to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are happy to see photos of you and your team members, but please remember to wear masks and follow social distancing guidelines in the photo.
